Catherine Gaussen: Clinical Psychologist

  • 113-cg-3.png

I am a Clinical Psychologist with full registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA). I hold a masters degree in Clinical Psychology and endorsement as a Clinical Psychologist.

I have worked therapeutically in private, university, community and government settings. This has generated a diverse knowledge base and skillset which enables treatment for a variety of individual needs across the lifespan and cross-culturally. I believe that the relationship between a psychologist and client is central to therapy and am collaborative, non-judgemental and compassionate. I am skilled at considering client preferences when selecting and utilising treatment approaches.

I have training and experience in delivering a variety of therapeutic approaches including: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Integrated CBT, Trauma-Informed CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, Schema Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Motivational Interviewing, and Integrated Family Intervention for Child Conduct Problems.

My books are currently full and I am not taking on new clients at this point in time.
